"It is sometimes an appropriate response to reality to go insane."

Philip K. Dick

Synopsis

In the vertical skeleton of an aborted and abandoned megalopolis, a man stands on the edge of the void. The only escape from this forsaken place is through the depths of the unknown...

Idea

The main motivation behind this short film is to create a movie that has a strong visual narrative and yet leave the audience free to understand it in their own way.

More than free interpretation, the film balances itself between multiple meanings and ideas and ultimately forces the viewers to make their own choices. This involvement, this tipping of the balance engages the spectators and from the scope of themes addressed in the film let them shape the story in their personal way.

Process

The initial script starts as the simple idea of a man jumping through the center of his world to come back on the other side unscathed. Through the process of story-boarding and previz, many elements are added to enhance the story and transform it into an open visual poetry.

Bringing these complex visual themes to life require a wide range of skills and despite our shoestring budget we have to put together the right team. Finding professional and passionate people who are willing to give their time and energy for the realization of a project is what is most rewarding.

We are using the latest RED Dragon camera from Fast Time productions. VS Services and Pete Pithai Smithsuth as DOP at the head of his crew are the key to shoot and light this film. The Jaika stunt team provides all the necessary equipment and studio to shoot our talent flying and defying gravity, and Alex Winters, the central figure of the story, gives a remarkable performance despite danger and physical pain.

Once the shooting accomplished, it is time for the lengthy and technical process of post-production and score. Nicolas Vitte, music composer, bring forth the mood and feels of the film. On the VFX, once again The Post Bangkok, its team and cutting edge facilities are the VFX winning formula.

After many months of hard work, we are very happy to share this film with you.
